Wolters Kluwer has provided the Croatian research and academic community with trial access to the Ovid Discovery AI platform, which combines scholarly literature searching with artificial intelligence tools for analysing, comparing and synthesising research findings. Trial access is available until 18 December 2026.

Ovid Discovery AI supports natural language searching, while the retrieved literature can be further analysed using five AI-powered tools:

  • Best Match Summary – summarises the most relevant search results.
  • Key Metrics – compares research methodologies, study populations and outcomes.
  • Essential Insights – synthesises key findings from multiple selected publications.
  • Concept Discovery – identifies related concepts and emerging research directions.
  • Extract – allows users to ask questions about selected publications and extract relevant information.

The platform brings together electronic journals, scholarly databases and other online resources through a single interface, including existing subscriptions to electronic databases and journal collections available under Croatia's national licensing arrangements.

The platform is also tailored to the needs of individual universities, medical faculties, hospitals and clinics, providing access to resources covered by their existing institutional subscriptions. Profiles designed for medical faculties and hospitals also include integration with the UpToDate database.

Online Workshops

As part of the trial access period, two online workshops will be held on 28 October 2026 to demonstrate the platform's search capabilities and the use of its AI-powered tools.

You can register to attend using the following online registration forms:

During the trial access period, we invite you to complete a short anonymous user experience survey. Your feedback will contribute to the evaluation of the platform and help assess the feasibility of providing long-term access to Croatian academic, research and biomedical institutions.
