Re-accreditation Site Visit at the Catholic Faculty of Theology, University of Split
The Catholic Faculty of Theology at the University of Split will host an expert panel site visit as part of the re-accreditation procedure conducted by the Agency for Science and Higher Education (ASHE). The visit will take place from 14 to 16 April 2026 at the Faculty premises in Split.
Re-accreditation represents an important external quality assurance process through which higher education institutions are evaluated with regard to their teaching activities, research performance, organisational structure, and overall contribution to the academic and wider community. During the visit, members of the expert panel will meet with representatives of the Faculty’s leadership, academic staff, students, alumni, and external stakeholders, as well as review documentation and gain insight into the Faculty’s teaching and research environment.

The University of Split, a member of the European University of the Seas (SEA-EU) alliance, invites students and staff members from the University of Cádiz, University of Gdańsk, University of Brest, University of Kiel, University of Malta, Parthenope University of Naples, University of Algarve and the Nord University to apply to the SEA-EU Photo Contest “After all - after oil” by sending 1 photo they haven’t published before. The best-ranked photos will be selected by the international jury comprised of experts from all SEA-EU universities. Selected photos will be exhibited in Brest during the Governing week (9 - 11 June 2026). The winner will be rewarded by 800 EUR worth travel voucher.

University of Split joins the University Network for Cultural Routes Studies
In February, the University of Split, Catholic Faculty of Theology became a member of the University Network for Cultural Routes Studies after signing a general framework cooperation agreement with the European Institute of Cultural Routes (EICR).
The Catholic Faculty of Theology in Split is engaged in the promotion of religious cultural heritage through focused research on Saint Jerome and early Christian traditions. Its academic activities, particularly in the fields of pilgrimage, sacred mobility, and historical pilgrimage networks, align closely with the objectives of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe.

The Catholic Theological Faculty of the University of Split is organizing the 30th International Theological Symposium titled "THE ROLE OF THEOLOGY IN SPIRITUALITY OF CROATIAN PEOPLE IN TIMES OF TRANSITION FROM COMMUNISM TO DEMOCRACY", which will be held in the main hall of the Faculty, 1st floor (Zrinsko-Frankopanska 19, Split), on October 17th and 18th, 2024. The symposium will feature 17 speakers from abroad, other institutions and universities in Croatia, and from the Faculty itself.

Outbound international mobility for teaching staff at the Catholic University of Lublin, Poland
From June 12 to June 15, 2024, as part of the Erasmus+ program, an outbound international mobility for teaching staff was realized at the Faculty of Theology of the Catholic University of Lublin, Poland. Upon the invitation of Prof. Pawel Makosa, Prof. Dr. Jadranka Garmaz, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ivica Jurić, and Dr. Gina Šparada delivered lectures at the largest university in Poland.
